U.S. Comic - The Justice League

It was in the U.S. where they started printing series of comics in newspapers and new formats called "comic books". The search for new readers to the newspapers is attributed to the success of comics in America. On April 9^th, 1893, the first comic was shown in the newspaper "Word", it was named "Yellow Kid" and was based on the life of people of the underworld. The newspapers create for many years new characters every day to attract more readers. Towards the 30s, new companies specializing in comics began to appear, and stories started rising quality to what would be called the "American comic." From there stories of characters like mad scientists, detectives, aliens and humans with superior emerged. The most common themes were these characters saving the planet from disasters.

In 1938 "Superman" was born, a superhero possessing extraordinary powers, embodying 2 personalities, journalist and superhero. After that, there were born many as "the ghost", "Batman", "flash", "Wonder Woman" and “Green Lantern”. In the stories of these superheroes, they always get into big messes and they´re the only ones capable of saving the world from enemies or aliens. In 1960 was created the so-called "Justice League" comprised by Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter. This league was created to combat an alien invasion of the planet. Each character fought individually to one of these "aliens", but being defeated. They saw it was better to work as a team, they decided to unite and create "the justice league" to fight the alien invasion worldwide. Today "the justice league" remains, now with new members and with multiple locations worldwide.

This fact revolutionized the world of comic superheroes, bringing to life extraordinary characters and endless struggles with powers never seen before by humans. After this, the Justice League was filmed and later became a TV series, where they had other characters, depending on where the scene was intended to fight the evils that lurk them to the world. Any comics lovers shall always be referred to the Justice League, armed with super powers, intended to protect and save the world again and again.
